Our meetings

Leith Links Community Council

A full meeting of the Community Council is held on the last Monday of every month (except July & December) at 7pm in Leith Community Education Centre.

These are public meetings.

The agenda for each meeting will be published at least seven days in advance.

The papers for each meeting are displayed in the section of this website called ‘our library’.

At each meeting there is an opportunity for members of the community to raise issues of concern, ask any questions etc.

Sub Committee on Planning & Licensing

In late 2016 we established a Sub Committee on Planning & Licensing.

The role of this sub committee is to take forward the Community Council’s interest in local planning, infrastructure & licensing matters, in particular specifically with comments on applications for Planning Permission, and for alcohol licensing, locally, and with responses to local and national consultations relating to planning and/or licensing.

More information will be added here as the work of the sub committee progresses.

 

Sub Committee on Parks & Greenspaces

In late 2016 we established a Sub Committee on Parks & Greenspaces, with Jac Rogers as Secretary.

The role of this sub committee is to take forward the Community Council’s interest in Leith Links, the Restalrig Railway Path and other greenspaces in our areas.

More information will be added here as the work of the sub committee progresses..

 

Special meetings / events

From time to time we hold special meetings / events where there is a public interest and community benefit in doing so. Such meetings are open to anyone in our community to attend. Such meetings / events are promoted via this website, on our social media channels and in local noticeboards.

Such meetings / events could include but are not limited to special public presentations to allow complex or significant planning applications to be given public scrutiny.
