If you have only moved to Leith recently or like me have lived in Leith for years this is a fascinating collection of photos of buildings which are no longer with us. It also highlights the poverty and slum conditions that Leithers lived in. In the 21st century many of the buildings could have been saved because of their historical importance but back in the 1920’s that was probably the last thing the council and public health officials would have been thinking about.
